 About this Wonderful Lady!
Mini Bio: From the moment she first came before the WWE Universe, Natalya realized that competing in WWE was a gift, one she would utilize to its fullest extent. Of course, being trained in the legendary Hart Family Dungeon alongside a few famous family members didn't hurt either. Despite a profound desire to forge her own path, there's no denying that Natalya possesses the "hart" to reach new heights in the ring. Whether creating havoc as part of The Hart Dynasty, executing the family Sharpshooter or stepping out on her own to capture the Divas Championship, the fiery third-generation Diva has shown time-and-time again that the legendary Pink & Black legacy is safe in her hands. The road to SummerSlam has begun and I almost can’t believe that just a few months after WrestleMania we’re getting ready to kick off the biggest event of the summer.

With next week’s Raw Reunion featuring WWE Hall of Famers such as Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels and Stone Cold Steve Austin, the road to SummerSlam will heat up even more. In the words of Steve Austin: “Gimme a hell yeah!”

This past week on Raw, I competed in a “Fatal 4-Way” elimination match against some of the top female Superstars in WWE. Alexa Bliss, Carmella, and Naomi, all former women’s champions, pushed me to my limits. I knew inside I couldn’t lose that match and had to fight with everything I had because if I won, I was going to get the opportunity to face the Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch at SummerSlam in my home country of Canada.

When I put Alexa Bliss in the Sharpshooter and she tapped out, I secured what I’ve been fighting so hard for in our WWE Women’s Division, a chance to put the Women’s Championship back around my waist.

SummerSlam is really special to me. I look back and think about some of my favourite moments in WWE, and they were at SummerSlam. I remember the match my uncles Bret Hart and the British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith had in 1992 at Wembley Stadium in England in front of 82,000 people. To this day, the WWE Universe and our WWE Superstars still speak of that match as one of the greatest matches of all time. To have a whole stadium of people on their feet with epic storytelling and athleticism is something every single Superstar in WWE dreams of doing.

Natalya, Naomi, Alexa Bliss and Carmella battled in an elimination fatal 4-way match for a chance at the Raw women’s championship. Carmella was eliminated first by Alexa Bliss then Naomi was eliminated by Natalya That left it down to Natalya vs Alexa Bliss. Nikki Cross tried to get the crowd to cheer for Alexa but that only backfired, In the end Natalya made Alexa Bliss tap out to the sharpshooter which cemented her spot at Summerslam to face Becky Lynch for the Raw Women’s Title.

Natalya had certainly shown her in-ring bonafides en route to victory but Becky did more than enough to bring out The Queen of Harts’ inner trash-talker, confronting the former SmackDown Women’s Champion moments after she won the Fatal 4-Way Elimination Match that sent her to SummerSlam. Becky Lynch seemed more than a little unimpressed with her new challenger Natalya declaring that she was the special something Natalya’s career needed and dispelling any notion that their match was going to be some kind of contest among friends. To her credit, The Queen of Harts Natalya took the hint, firing back with some trash-talk of her own – “I’m gonna rip that greasy orange mop off your head” was just a sampling and going nose-to-nose with the champion in a heated confrontation WWE officials were quick to separate before they came to blows.

I had such an incredible experience a few weeks ago doing something that made my heart happy, as I had the chance to rescue two kittens from a shelter. It reminded of the importance of helping animals in need and it feels great to be able to make a difference where I can.

Growing up in a family of animal lovers, we have rescued many cats and dogs over the years. At one point, my grandfather Stu Hart had over a dozen rescue animals living at the Hart House.  Once the cats and dogs were saved by my grandfather, they were loved like they were part of the family because, in my opinion, pets are family.

We also rescued animals.  I remember Lambert, a small black and white cat who was left on the side of the highway. My dad found her and brought her home to us after he had won the WWE Tag Team Championship. Then there was Cheeko, our beautiful black and tan short hair Chihuahua who was roaming our neighbourhood lost, starving and overheated. We put up signs on every corner of the block to see if anyone lost their dog and no one ever claimed him, so we got to keep him! We gave Cheeko a beautiful home where he was pampered to the nines. Cheeko and Lambert became best of pals; almost as if they knew they were “saved” and that was their bond.

My mom currently has two feral cats named Jeebers and Mitsy that she rescued from an alley outside of downtown Tampa. My dad loved Jeebers so much, and Jeebers offered a lot of companionship to my dad during the last years of his life, proving that the love animals give can be very therapeutic. My cat Charlotte is a rescue cat. She was left in a dumpster.  We saved her and now she is such a special part of our home. She’s also the most spoiled cat in our house. Sorry, 2pawz.
