The Road to WrestleMania is paved with good intentions, life-long dreams and endless possibilities.

We have less than a month to the big day and there’s so much to do and so little time until Sunday, April 8 in New Orleans. But you know me, I love working under pressure.

WrestleMania is like Christmas; it’s my favourite time of year. More than 80,000 people from around the world will unite to celebrate WWE’s pop culture extravaganza.

There is so much going on to get excited about, like performing in front of a stadium full of people at the Mercedes Benz Superdome. It’s hard to fathom sometimes how far this spectacle has come over the course of its 30-plus year history.

And how can I forget the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony, where we celebrate and honour legends from our past. I have five dresses picked out for that night because I’m not sure what I am going to wear.

This year, we get to see so many incredible Superstars from the past be welcomed into immortality, including former WWE Women’s Champion Ivory, former WWE Tag Team Champions The Dudley Boyz, this year’s Warrior Award recipient Jarrius (JJ) Robertson, Hillbilly Jim, Kid Rock and the iconic Bill Goldberg.

I’ve already started the packing process, which right now consists of 11 pairs of shoes, five purses and mounds of accessories. “What would J-Lo wear?” has become my mantra.

As WWE Superstars, we participate in community outreach programs which is something that I love being part of. During WrestleMania, we host a week-long lineup of community events leading up to the big day. WWE partners with so many different organizations and charities to raise awareness for important causes including bullying prevention, childhood literacy and pediatric cancer research. It means so much to come together to spread positive messages and lend support.

With St. Patrick’s Day approaching, I took the opportunity to talk to WWE Superstars Finn Balor, Becky Lynch, Fit Finlay and Sheamus about what their Irish heritage means to them.

They are all proudly Irish and love educating the rest of us about their wonderful and unique culture.

I asked Finn what he misses most about his home in Ireland.

“First and foremost, I miss my family that seems to get older every time I visit home,” said the native of Bray, Ireland. “I miss the friends I grew up with who now have children of their own. I miss the people you meet on the street on a day-to-day basis and their ‘Irish wit’ and humour. I miss the buses and the trains that take people in and out of Dublin. I miss the smell of spilt Guinness in the pubs. I miss the scenery, the hills and mountains, the rugged coasts, the choppy cold, cold waters, the stony beaches and the wind that could cut you in half.

“I miss the air; you can feel it fill your lungs as you step out of the airport. I miss the tea, the endless cups of tea, the rashers, the black pudding, the milk, and I even miss the tap water!”

Becky Lynch, a native of Limerick, Ireland, loves celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in honour of her Irish roots and reminisced with me.

“I miss Ireland so much!,” she exclaimed. “I miss the banter, the chats. I think Irish people have such a unique way of talking and I love that about them. They have an energy in their storytelling. In Ireland, we’ve produced amazing storytellers over the years, including famous writers, musicians and incredible WWE Superstars like my good friends Finn Balor, Sheamus and the legendary Fit Finlay.”

Lynch asked me if I had ever heard of the band The Horselips, who are her favourite band from Ireland. I had not, but we learn something new every day. Becky said the Horselips are a “mixed Irish traditional and rock ‘n roll band from back in the ’70s and they’re brilliant!”

Lynch added, “I think most recently Glen Hansard might be up there with my favourite Irish musicians and I also think Hozier is incredible.”

Becky also makes it clear that the Cranberries are the soundtrack of her childhood and she was saddened to hear about the passing of the band’s lead singer Dolores O’Riordan. The Lass Kicker has great taste since the Cranberries are also one of my all-time favorite bands and will be playing all day in my house on St. Paddy’s Day.

This week on Twitter, @fmrdivacherry asked me who I’m most excited to see at WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans on Sunday, April 8.

I immediately thought of Jarrius “JJ” Robertson. If you don’t know who that is, let me tell you about the amazing Jarrius.

The first time I met Jarrius, I had no idea who he was or why he was backstage at a WWE event. From first glance, he was just a kid with tons of energy. I didn’t know that he was dealing with some very serious health issues.

All I knew upon that initial meeting was that Jarrius was a vibrant young man that was incredibly intelligent, funny and charismatic. He worked the room, and that’s not the easiest thing to do when you’re surrounded by the likes of John Cena, Dolph Ziggler and The Miz.

I remember very specifically watching Jarrius meet The Miz for the first time.

It was among the funniest things I’ve ever seen because Miz kept asking him who his favourite WWE Superstar was. Jarrius kept rattling off a list of names including Roman Reigns and John Cena.

The more names Jarrius said, the more The Miz was demanding to know why he wasn’t Jarrius’ favourite. Jarrius knew that he was pulling Miz’s tail and had him right where he wanted him – annoyed! He then said very matter-of-factly to Miz, “just so you know, you’re at the bottom of my list.”

Everyone backstage burst out laughing, including The Miz. We all knew right then and there that Jarrius was special and that he fit right in with the WWE family.

In welcoming my best friend, Beth Phoenix, back to WWE as she embraces her new role as a commentator for WWE’s new Facebook Watch series, Mixed Match Challenge, I asked her to answer a few questions that I could share with you.

Beth is living proof that we can accomplish anything if we put our mind to it.

She is a fitness fanatic who can bench press 220 pounds and a WWE Hall of Famer who just competed in the first ever women’s Royal Rumble match. Did I mention she can play the guitar, sing and is a classical pianist?

She also is a mom of two, a student working on her Master’s degree and a wife to WWE Hall of Famer Edge, who won a total of 31 WWE Championships himself.

I asked Beth how it feels being such a strong role model.

Beth replied, “I think it all goes back to the strong female role models I had growing up. I had my mother and my grandmother to set the template for myself as a woman. My mom raised myself and my brother as a single mom for the majority of our youth. She worked two jobs. She volunteered and served at my school so that we could get assistance to attend private Catholic school. She cooked healthy meals for us every single night after working long days. She spoiled us on birthdays and Christmas, even if it meant sacrificing many other things throughout the year. My grandmother was my teacher, a mentor, a care-giver, a matriarch. She taught me to cook, to sew, to have pride in my heritage, to sing, to value class and your own integrity above all. I grew up hoping one day I would be able to demonstrate to others (like my mother and grandmother did for me) that you need to work hard for the things you want and more importantly, what it means to know and love yourself for the things that make you special.”

Nattie & TJ Interview on Yahoo.com – Their relationsh...

Published by:

Courtesy of Yahoo News/Lifestyle Nattie and TJ/Tyson Kidd Talk about their relationship being ‘unorthodox’ and ‘nontraditional’, When and how they met and when they first signed with WWE.

Natalya Neidhart and T.J. Wilson met as young kids and have known each other 27 years. But theirs isn’t your typical “girl falls in love with the boy next door and they live happily ever after” kind of story. “I can remember meeting Nattie at her grandfather’s house — and about five minutes later she told me off,” Wilson fondly recalls of his first interaction with his longtime love.

While Nattie disputes this account, she doesn’t argue with the statement that he “drove her crazy until I was about 15” and that their relationship is “unorthodox” and “nontraditional” (but, as T.J. says, “it’s love nonetheless”) — which makes sense considering that their lives have revolved around wrestling for decades.

Call Nattie “the Kate Middleton of World Wrestling Entertainment.” Her father, Jim “the Anvil” Neidhart, was a two-time WWE tag-team champion, and her uncle, Bret “the Hitman” Hart and grandfather Stu Hart are both WWE Hall of Famers. But her royal rumble bloodline isn’t why T.J. was initially drawn to her when he was 12 and she 10. “When I first saw Nattie, it sounds so made up, but I liked her instantly,” he says.

Nattie’s attraction towards T.J. took a little more time. “For me, it wasn’t love at first sight,” she admits. “It wasn’t until I started learning how to wrestle that there was this connection with T.J. that changed everything. He always would catch me, he’d always put himself on the line to make sure that I was safe, and when you’re in the ring and you’re learning how to wrestle, it’s all about trust with your partner.”

Thank you Nattie for using one of my questions once again for your Article in the Calgary Sun.

So @fadhitman asked which former female WWE Superstar inspires me most.

I am shouting from the rooftop that it would be none other than Trish Stratus!

A few weeks ago, I had the honour, for the first time in my life, of being in the same ring as Trish Stratus during the inaugural Women’s Royal Rumble Match. I couldn’t believe that I finally had the opportunity to lock horns with the seven-time WWE Women’s Champion, fellow Canadian and one of the most iconic female superstars in WWE history.

Trish isn’t just any superwoman to me, she is one of the main reasons why I wanted to become a WWE Superstar.

Growing up around the Hart family, there was never any shortage of inspiration to join the family business. In the yard at my grandfather’s house, the Hart house, we had our very own ring. The neighbours would walk down the hill, past my grandfather’s house and watch us all in the ring.

Inside the Hart home, in the basement, was the infamous “Dungeon” where some of the most amazing Superstars of all time started their careers. There were holes in the ceiling and in the walls, the result of aspiring young men honing their craft so one day they could make it big.

For me, even though I was surrounded by some of the best the WWE has ever seen, seeing Trish Stratus on Monday Night Raw made me realize that I wanted to be just like her. She was this strong, fierce, confident woman from Canada who stepped showed the world why women in WWE were a force to be reckoned with. Trish was truly ahead of her time in so many ways.

I remember watching Trish Stratus perform with a broken nose (wearing a protective face mask) and thinking how cool it was because she was so tough. I wanted to be just as tough as her. I remember watching her and Lita main event Monday Night Raw in December of 2004, something that had been unheard of to that point. Lita and Trish were not only trailblazers, but arguably two of the most influential WWE Superstars of their generation, male or female.
