 About this Wonderful Lady!
Mini Bio: From the moment she first came before the WWE Universe, Natalya realized that competing in WWE was a gift, one she would utilize to its fullest extent. Of course, being trained in the legendary Hart Family Dungeon alongside a few famous family members didn't hurt either. Despite a profound desire to forge her own path, there's no denying that Natalya possesses the "hart" to reach new heights in the ring. Whether creating havoc as part of The Hart Dynasty, executing the family Sharpshooter or stepping out on her own to capture the Divas Championship, the fiery third-generation Diva has shown time-and-time again that the legendary Pink & Black legacy is safe in her hands. I wondered in my head what clinch meant because quite frankly, baseball isn’t my world. I would learn that in this game, if the Red Sox won, they were going to be going to the playoffs. No pressure, right?!

If that weren’t enough, allow me to set the stage a bit for you.

A crowd of 37,000 was in attendance —GULP! They were all gonna watch little old me throw a baseball to Boston’s Blake Swihart, while representing the WWE. That all seems simple enough, despite the fact that a quick YouTube search of ceremonial pitches reveals a host of embarrassing efforts by some of the most famous people on Earth, some viewed millions of times. Also, never search YouTube to research something you’re about to do!

I am, however, a Hart. You know, that whole “best there is, best there was, best there ever will be” thing?!

I had only one dilemma: I hadn’t thrown a baseball since I was eight years old. Come to think of it, I’m can’t even be sure that what I threw when I was eight was even a baseball. It could have been a softball for all I remember!

Leading up to the big day, I had hemmed and hawed for several days in anticipating of throwing out this pitch. I contemplated practising in my backyard with my dad. I mean, he did earn his nickname (Anvil) for his world-class throwing skills (that, you should Google).

Alas, the practice never saw the light of day. I had to stay on the road and work and wasn’t able to make it home. The game was fast approaching and I was about to throw out the first pitch in one of the most famed baseball stadiums of all time. Babe Ruth and Ty Cobb played in Fenway Park. Again, No pressure!

Come game day, and minus any practice whatsoever, the second I walked into the stadium, I was trying to hide my nervousness and anticipation from the Boston Red Sox representative who was with me and Jen, the WWE representative who escorted me. They asked me if I had practised and I debated in my head whether I should say “Oh my dad and I practiced for hours in my backyard.” But all I could muster up was the truth: “You know, I haven’t been home to practice at all.”

WWE.com Interview with Natalya on Breaking a Record – 10/0...

Published by:
  2017/10/07

Tomorrow at WWE Hell in a Cell Natalya is set to surpass Trish Stratus’s record for most pay-per-matches by a woman. WWE.com took some time to talk to the Queen of Harts about how she feels about breaking this record and if Trish Status is aware about her surpassing her record.

WWE.COM: Tell us about the record you’re about to break.

NATALYA: Well, it’s very cool. Come this Sunday at Hell in a Cell, I will be breaking Trish Stratus’ record for most pay-per-view matches by any woman in the history of WWE. It’s a huge honor because Trish Stratus is somebody that I absolutely idolize and look up to. She’s a huge reason why I’m here today.

WWE.COM: That’s quite a record. Was it something you were keeping an eye on?

NATALYA: I actually wasn’t aware of it until somebody brought it up. Somebody brought it to my attention and I said, “Wow, that’s crazy.” I wasn’t even keeping track of it. And then I was told I was going to break it. It really reminds me of all the incredible opportunities I’ve gotten in WWE and especially being featured on pay-per-view, which is awesome.

WWE.COM: Does Trish know you’re about to break her record?

NATALYA: I haven’t spoken to her. I didn’t want to text her and be like, “Hey, Trish. Just so you know, I’m gonna break your record.” She doesn’t know, but I have definitely paid my dues and put in a lot of blood, sweat and tears at WWE, so to be able to even be mentioned in the same sentence as Trish Stratus is very cool.

Natalya on making History at Hell in a Cell & talks Total D...

When Natalya signed on for Total Divas, it changed her life forever. The E! reality series following the lives of some of WWE’s fiercest females inside and outside the ring returns for its seventh season in November. And the “Queen of Harts” is proud to says she has been there from the beginning.

“By the end of this season I’ll have done 100 episodes,” she said. “To be able to say I’ve done every single season and had the WWE Universe on this journey with me, I just feel so blessed…People become connected and want to know more. To be able to let people into my life, I feel grateful for that.”

This season, the show finds Natalya reaching new career heights as the SmackDown Live women’s champion. The ladies of WWE are at the forefront of a revolution, headlining events and marking countless milestones in short order. This includes the first-ever women’s Money in the Bank ladder match. Total Divas cameras were there when Nattie battled an intense fear to be part of history.

“Most people would never know I’m afraid of heights,” she said. “So, I got to show that vulnerability going into that match…I didn’t want to let my co-workers or upper management know I had that fear because I didn’t want that opportunity taken from me. It was a situation that forced me to confront my fears.”

The pro wrestling diehard looks back at all that has happened since Total Divas began. Audiences saw her struggle to find her place within the women’s division. With new faces in the fold, Natalya fought to stay in the mix. She married fellow grappler Tyson Kidd, with her family and cats becoming a popular staple of episodes. Fast-forward to today, and she smiles from the top of the WWE mountain.

“Come Hell in a Cell, I would have had the most pay-per-view matches out of anyone in WWE history. I will surpass Trish Stratus’ record,” Natalya said. “To know how hard I worked, and to get this opportunity, it’s so great because 100 or so episodes later you see me achieve my dream. It’s a great message for men and women alike that if you believe in yourself and don’t give up, no matter how many times you want to throw in the towel, you can reach your dreams. Everything you ever wanted to happen can. You just have to keep going.”
