 About this Wonderful Lady!
Mini Bio: From the moment she first came before the WWE Universe, Natalya realized that competing in WWE was a gift, one she would utilize to its fullest extent. Of course, being trained in the legendary Hart Family Dungeon alongside a few famous family members didn't hurt either. Despite a profound desire to forge her own path, there's no denying that Natalya possesses the "hart" to reach new heights in the ring. Whether creating havoc as part of The Hart Dynasty, executing the family Sharpshooter or stepping out on her own to capture the Divas Championship, the fiery third-generation Diva has shown time-and-time again that the legendary Pink & Black legacy is safe in her hands. Natalya and Lana in an in-ring segment on Raw hosted a some sort of retirement ceremony for Mickie James, Natalya and Lana claimed they tried to help Mickie James but she just wanted to remain irrelevant. They then showed a highlight video of her career, which was just a blank screen of nothing. Mickie James then runs to the ring and laid out both Natalya and Lana before walking away.

Natalya was also at ring side for a Lumberjack match between Asuka & Sasha Banks.

Natalya Interview With Indy Sport UK – 8/21/2020

Natalya delves into SummerSlam and the understated art of storytelling.

Exclusive interview: Niece of Bret Hart speaks to The Independent about the WWE event that comes closest to rivalling – or perhaps even surpassing – WrestleMania SummerSlam may be regarded as WWE’s second biggest show of the year, but for storytelling purist Natalya the event stands undisputed as the best of the bunch. Natalaya, a former two-time world champion, is uniquely qualified to pass opinion on the matter as a member of the famed Hart family, for whom this time of year always means big things. Uncle Bret, one of WWE’s finest ever performers, won the Intercontinental title at the event in 1991 and the WWE Championship six years later. He headlined the show against The British Bulldog in 1992 at London’s Wembley Stadium and battled his late brother, Owen, in a steel cage classic in 1994. Natalya has continued the trend, winning the Women’s Championship three years ago at the August special, and tearing the house down with Becky Lynch in a losing effort a little over 12 months ago. For each of them, it is about the art of the story. Thirty-eight-year-old Natalya sat down with The Independent ahead of the 2020 edition of the show to reminisce about some of the past classics – and the elements of them that fuel today’s stars.

“There’s a little nostalgia tied into it, but it’s again the art of storytelling,” she says, before pointing to the perfect example of the modern-day classic.

“The match that took me back to that era of great Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Undertaker matches, was the match at Backlash between Edge and Randy Orton [earlier this year].

“I watched the match and I noticed that Edge was almost drawing from Bret Hart. It reminded me a lot of him in that match.

“His style was still Edge, but he was pulling from a different place emotionally and pulling me in, and of course Randy Orton does that.

Natalya making her way to the ring before the coronavirus pandemic, when fans were still attending events ()“We’ve never been in an era with the kind of athleticism as we do now, it is through the roof, but it is those little nuances that make you feel and remember something.”

Natalya Interview With SportBible.com – 8/21/2020

WWE Superstar Natalya On ‘Special’ Match With Ronda Rousey.

“I’ve talked about that match being one of the most special matches of my career and I know it’s one of Ronda’s. It took everything Ronda had learned from me, from Triple H, from Stephanie McMahon, from Kurt Angle, from working with Sasha Banks and all these different people. All the stuff Ronda had learned about pro wrestling in the last year in WWE, she had to take all that, with no time to plan or prepare. Literally her music hit, my music hit and it was just two pros in the ring looking at each other going “here we go’.”

Natalya’s looked to her rich heritage in wrestling to inform the match. The daughter of Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart and the niece of his Hart Foundation partner Bret “The Hitman” Hart, Natalya drew inspiration from the old-school purveyors of the family business to construct her incredible battle with Rousey.

“Bret Hart has told me some of the best matches of his career were just called in the ring. He literally just did them in the ring on the fly, because it’s something that’s coming from his heart. Ronda and I just had that chemistry, we had that connection. She’s just a natural athlete, an elite athlete. She’s somebody who’s not only really gifted when she puts her mind to something, but she also understands about pushing through pain. When you want something badly enough you will do whatever it takes to get there. I really wish I could still compete against Ronda because we never got to do more than that one match.”

The bout not only took a physical toll on the competitors, but in Ronda’s case especially, her bout with Natalya brought out some complex emotions. Standing across the ring from a woman who had been such a huge part of her WWE journey in a high-profile title attraction brought something to the surface for someone Natalya describes as “wearing her heart on her sleeve”.

“I loved that when we had that match she was crying, she was crying in the ring because of emotions when we were wrestling each other, because of what it meant to her, because of what the story of the match was she didn’t want to hurt her friend. We got backstage and she was crying. That’s who Ronda is, she’s emotional, she cares, sometimes she cares too much. She’s passionate and that’s what I think really resonated with a lot of the audience and it resonated with me.”

Calgary Sun Article/Interview with Natalya – 8/20/2020

This is a huge week for WWE with the announcement of the WWE ThunderDome.  As part of WWE’s new residency at Amway Center in Orlando, the WWE ThunderDome will have a state-of-the-art set, video boards, pyrotechnics, lasers, cutting-edge graphics and drone cameras, kicking off SummerSlam weekend this Friday with Smackdown. With the debut of WWE ThunderDome, WWE will bring fans into the Amway Center virtually via live video for Raw, Smackdown and every pay-per-view event. During this pandemic, I have missed performing for a live audience so much, so it really is amazing that with technology, we will still be able to get up close and personal with our WWE fans again, in a safe way.

I’m excited for WWE ThunderDome and SummerSlam! Next to WrestleMania, SummerSlam is one of the most anticipated events of the year for WWE. Some of the best matches I’ve ever been in have been at those events, as well as some of the best matches I’ve seen.

I won the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Naomi in 2017 at a sold-out Barclays Center in Brooklyn.  That night was so cool and so surreal, as I remember Macauley Culkin being in the front row.  I was the “antagonist” in that match against Naomi and we both were so excited to compete against each other because we were “underdogs” in the women’s division getting a chance to shine on a huge stage. When I won the title that night, she hugged me backstage after and we celebrated together because that’s the kind of person Naomi is. My happiness was hers and vice versa.

A SummerSlam match from the past that is a hidden gem but remains one of my favourites is the classic Bret Hart vs. Mr. Perfect match from 1991 at Madison Square Garden. This match was so intense and explosive, with Bret and Mr. Perfect both displaying such incredible athleticism. A hard-fought battle for the Intercontinental Championship, this match that stole the show that night. Not only did it take place in my favourite arena, Madison Square Garden, but if you go back and watch this match today, it’s a beautiful story amongst two legendary WWE Superstars that has stood the test of time nearly 30 years later.
