 About this Wonderful Lady!
Mini Bio: From the moment she first came before the WWE Universe, Natalya realized that competing in WWE was a gift, one she would utilize to its fullest extent. Of course, being trained in the legendary Hart Family Dungeon alongside a few famous family members didn't hurt either. Despite a profound desire to forge her own path, there's no denying that Natalya possesses the "hart" to reach new heights in the ring. Whether creating havoc as part of The Hart Dynasty, executing the family Sharpshooter or stepping out on her own to capture the Divas Championship, the fiery third-generation Diva has shown time-and-time again that the legendary Pink & Black legacy is safe in her hands. WWE Smackdown Results – 1/1/2021

The first Smackdown in 2021 Natalya teamed with Tamina and took on Liv Morgan & Ruby Riott. Natalya also had a new entrance theme to start out the new year. It was really the same but had a mix to it.

Billie Kay accompanied Natalya and Tamina to the ring, Natalya and Liv Morgan start the match, Liv gets a wheelbarrow victory roll for a nearfall but Nattie shoves her down and tags in Tamina.

Tamina took control of Ruby and put her in the corner then Ruby rolled out and tagged Liv Morgan, The Riott Squad worked together to take Tamina down with a double Russian leg sweep. For some reason, Billie decided to switch sides and root for the Riott Squad, Thanks to a distraction from Billie Kay, Liv Morgan was able to pin Tamina for the win.

I wanted to dedicate my column to my friend Jon Huber (also known as Luke Harper/Brodie Lee).

It’s hard to put into words how the news of Huber’s passing has affected myself and the entire wrestling community. When I first heard the news that Jon had passed away, I couldn’t believe it, as he was such a good friend to so many of us. We all loved him and I had a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that our friend is gone.

As an in-ring performer, Huber was someone that was a master at his craft. He loved competing in the ring and worked for years to make it to WWE. I think what made him so relatable to myself and so many of us backstage was because of how much he persevered in his life to chase his dreams.

I’ve been watching Jon’s matches back, some of my favourites against The Usos, New Day and The Shield. They remind me of how talented Jon was in the ring. He was so good! He was such an agile performer especially for someone as big as he was physically. He could do it all.

As much as Huber was a master at his craft in the ring, he was also a master of balancing life outside the ring. Jon loved his family so much, and that was always very evident to anyone who spent time with him. That’s what I loved the most about him, the way he would talk so lovingly about his wife and kids. He always was so excited to get back home to them. He loved being a dad.

I remember there was a show he wasn’t booked to wrestle on, in Rochester, N.Y., his hometown. Jon asked WWE management if he could be added to the show so his son could watch him wrestle. When Jon walked into the Blue Cross arena in Rochester with his family in tow, it made me smile from ear to ear. We all could see what was the most important to Jon in his life, his family. Jon really wanted to make them proud and that he did!

That night in Rochester, Brodie Jr. got to watch his dad compete in the ring and his dad was his superhero. I remember little Brodie beaming when his dad came backstage from his match, in awe of is his dad. Huber was so proud of his sons and his wife.

Calgary Sun Article/Interview with Natalya – 12/25/2020

Christmas has always been one of my favourite times of year. This year, I decorated my Christmas tree the first week of November because I love how happy the holidays make me. Even though it was challenging with the pandemic, we were able to pick out a real Christmas tree and I love the way it makes my whole house smell good. My sister, Jenni, makes dozens of homemade Christmas cookies from recipes my aunt Georgia passed down. Everything from lemon bars, gingerbread cookies, chocolate bit squares and my favourite, her sugar cookie snowmen. I love homemade anything! My mom sews many of our Christmas ornaments by hand and every year we add her artwork to our tree. I have ornaments that my mom made for me when I was a little girl and love seeing them every year to reminisce about Christmas’s that have passed. We listen to Christmas music, light candles and watch our favourite Christmas movies like Home Alone, Elf and Prancer.

I’m not the only WWE Superstar that loves Christmas. There’s also Mick Foley, who dresses up as Santa year-round, which gives us more reasons to love him. Mick said: “I do have a full-time, year-round Christmas room where I like to spend my time, and I’ve been known to play many a Christmas Carol in the heat of the summer. I love the idea that people seem kinder, gentler and more patient leading up to Christmas. I think now, more than ever, kindness matters! And when I think of Christmas, I think of kindness.”

Mick is right. Now more than ever, kindness matters. So does compassion, gratitude and giving back.  This year has been a year full of incredible highs and lows. I’m proud of all of us because we’ve found a way to keep moving forward during these difficult times. We’ve found ways to adapt, change and continue to grow. For some of us, doors have closed and new doors have opened. Even if you’re terrible with technology like me, we’ve all become more resourceful about how we communicate with each other and how we stay connected. Whatever it takes to keep moving forward.
